Woman Selected

 Notes:
This tut was done in PSP 10 but should work as well in other versions.
Some knowledge of, and experience with, PSP is required.
A trial version of PSP can be downloaded from here.
You are welcome to use my images, or use your own
If any filters are used, please note that if you don't already have them installed that you will have to close PSP, Install, then start PSP again.
 
Supplies:

Goldenbeads
Impressionist - Filter

Preparation:
Edit/Copy your images
Edit/Paste as new Images
 
Pick 2 colors from your image (I chose #d4bd9e and #88855c)
 
Step 1:
Take the woman image
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow

Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel

Layers/New Raster Layer
Flood fill with your light color
Layers/Arrange/Send To Bottom
Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
 
Step 2:
Image/Re-Size to 500 on the longest side
Layers/New Raster Layer
Take the selection tool
Make a selection using these settings

Flood fill with your other color
Selections/Modify/Contract/6 px
Delete
Selections/Select None
Highlight the selection
Effects/3D Effects/Cutout 2x

Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow

Selections/Select None
Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
 
Step 3:
Highlight the border
Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel

Selections/Select None
Make a selection that you would like in the box
Edit/Copy
Selections/Select None
Highlight the inside of the  border
Edit/Paste Into Selection
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow

Selections/Select None
Take your magic wand and select the border
Take the gold beading
Edit/Copy
Edit/Paste Into Selection
Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel

Selections/Select None
 
Step 4:
Image/Add Borders/1 px/Black
Image/Add Borders/5 px/Dark Color - green if you used my colors
Image/Add Borders/5 px/White
Highlight this border
Flood fill with your gold color
Selections/Select None
Image/Add Borders/5 px/Light Color
Selections/Select All
Selections/Modify/Contract/15 px
Selections/Invert
Effects/Plugins/Impressionist/Impressionist/Default
