Notes: This tut was done in PSP 10 but should work in other versions. Some knowledge of, and experience with, PSP is required. You are welcome to use my images, or use your own If any filters are used, please note that if you don't already have them installed that you will have to close PSP, Install, then start PSP again.
Preparation: Transparent Image 800 x 600 Transparent image 500 x 500
Edit/Copy - all images Edit/Paste as a new Image - all images
Pick 2 colors - Light and dark
Step 1: (Transparent image 500 x 500) Selections/Select All Take your water image Edit/Copy Edit/Paste Into Selection Selections/Select None Effects/3D Effects/Buttonize
Step 2: Take the transparent image (800 x 600) Edit/Copy - the water image Edit/Paste as a new Layer Image/Add Borders/1 px/Black Image/Add Borders/5 px/White Highlight this border Flood fill with your gradient Selections/Select None Image/Add Borders/1 px/Black
Step 3: (Take the fairy) Edit/Copy Edit/Paste as a new Layer (onto your 500 x 500 image) Re-Size to 60% - or what looks good to you Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow
Step 4: Image/Add Borders/1 px/Black Image/Add Borders/5 px/White Highlight this border Flood fill with your gold gradient Image/Add Borders/1 px/Black Edit/Copy
Step 5: Edit/Paste as a New Layer onto your 800 x 600 image Move this layer to the right or left side - whichever looks the best to you Effects/3D Effects/Buttonize Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow
Step 6: Layers/New Raster Layer Add Name Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Layers/New Raster Layer Add Watermark Layers/New Raster Layer -- Optional Add a Caption -- Optional Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow -- Optional - Same as above Layers/Merge/Merge Visible Re-Size to 500 on the longest side - if needed
