Notes: This tut was done in PSP 10 but should work as well in other versions. Some knowledge of, and experience with, PSP is required. A trial version of PSP can be downloaded from here. You are welcome to use my images, or use your own If any filters are used, please note that if you don't already have them installed that you will have to close PSP, Install, then start PSP again.
Supplies: myheart - sandi SherBare.Heart09 Image5
Preparation: Open a 500 x 500 image using your dark color
Edit/Copy your images Edit/Paste as new Images
Pick 2 colors from your image (I chose #9097aa and #3d485a)
Make a gradient using these colors - settings your choice
Step 1: Take your image - dark image Layers/New Raster Layer Flood fill with your light color Layers/Load-Save Mask/Load Mask From Mask Layers/Merge/Merge Group Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Lower the opacity to 50% Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
Step 2: Take the woman image Edit/Copy Edit/Paste as a new Layer Re-Size to 400 px Move this image down and to the right or left side (your choice) Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
Step 3: Image/Add Borders/1px/Dark Color Image/Add Borders/10 px/Light Color Highlight this border Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Image/Add Borders/1 px/Dark Color Selections/Select None
Step 4: Take the heart image Using your magic wand Highlight the pieces of the heart Flood fill with your gradient Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel Selections/Select None Edit/Paste as a new Layer Move the heart to the center of the other heart
Step 5: Take the heart Edit/Copy Edit/Paste as a New Layer Re-Size to 700 px Lower the opacity to 30% Place the heart where you choose
Step 6: Image/Add Borders/20 px/Light Color Highlight this border Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Selections/Select None Effects/Artistic Effects/Balls and Bubbles
Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel Selections/Select None Image/Add Borders/1 px/Dark Color
Step 7: Layers/New Raster Layer Add Name Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Layers/New Raster Layer Add Watermark Layers/New Raster Layer -- Optional Add a Caption -- Optional Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Layers/Merge/Merge Visible Re-Size to 500 on the longest side - if needed
