Christmas Baby



Notes:
This tut was done in PSP 10 but should work in other versions.
Some knowledge of, and experience with, PSP is required.
You are welcome to use my images, or use your own
If any filters are used, please note that if you don't already have them installed that you will have to close PSP, Install, then start PSP again.
 
Supplies:

Mask - Edge Ripples
Filters Unlimited
DCSpecial
VM Natural
Simple
 
Preparation:
Edit/Copy
Edit/Paste as a new Images
Close the original
 
Pick 2 colors from your image - light and dark colors (I chose #de8669 and #bf3049)
 
Open A 500 x 500 Transparent image
 
Place the mask into your mask folder
 
Step 1:
Flood fill with your light color
Layers/New Raster Layer
Flood fill with your dark color
Layers/Load-Save Mask/Load mask from Disk

Layers/Merge/Merge Group
Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
 
Step 2:
Effects/Plugins/Filters Unlimited/Distortion Filters/Explosion/Default
Effects/Plugins/DCSpecial/Ice/40
Effects/Plugins/VM Natural/Starmaker
 
 
Step 3:
Take the baby
Edit/Copy
Edit/Paste as a new Layer
Image re-size to 400 on the longest side
Effects/3D Effects/Drop shadow
   
Move the baby towards the bottom of the image
Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
Selections/Select All
Effects/3D Effects/Buttonize

Selections/Select None
 
Step 4:
Edit/Copy
Image/Add Borders/1 px/Black
Image/Add Borders/40 px/White
Highlight this border
Edit/Paste Into Selection
Effects/Reflection Effects/Kaleidoscope

Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow
   
Selections/Select None
Image/Add Borders/1 px/Black
 
Step 5:
Layers/New Raster Layer
Add Name
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow
   
Layers/New Raster Layer
Add Watermark
Layers/New Raster Layer -- Optional
Add a Caption -- Optional
Change colors here if its to light - Optional
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow -- Optional  - Same as above
Layers/Merge/Merge Visible
Re-Size to 500 on the longest side
