Notes: This tut was done in PSP 10 but should work as well in other versions. Some knowledge of, and experience with, PSP is required. A trial version of PSP can be downloaded from here. You are welcome to use my images, or use your own If any filters are used, please note that if you don't already have them installed that you will have to close PSP, Install, then start PSP again.
Supplies: B0185 Bilady~ChineseDragon - can use your own +HET-PrplPnkDrgns - can use your own
2 images of your choice - preferable 2 that are cohesive
Preparation: Edit/Copy your images Edit/Paste as new Images
Step 1: Take 1 of the images Minimize the other Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Minimize this image
Step 2: Take your other image Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Minimize this image
Step 3: Bring up the book image Use the crop tool Crop off the white around the book Select inside 1 of the book sides Make sure that its completely filled Selections/Modify/Contract 2 px Take 1 of the images Edit/Copy Edit/Paste Into Selection Close this image Selections/Select None
Step 4: Use your magic wand Select the other side of the book Selections/Modify/Contract/2 px Take your other Image Edit/Copy Edit/Paste Into Selection Close this image Selections/Select None
Step 5: Effects/Image Effects/Page Curl (#e7e2c2)
Step 6: Layers/New Raster Layer Add Name Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow Layers/New Raster Layer Add Watermark Layers/New Raster Layer -- Optional Add a Caption -- Optional Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow -- Optional - Make sure that you have the top layer highlighted Layers/Merge/Merge Down 4x
Step 7: Right click on the layers/Duplicate Close these 2 layers Use the magic wand and select around the brown frame Highlight the Background Layer Right Click/Duplicate Close this layer Highlight the bottom layer Adjust/Add-Remove Noise/Add Noise
Step 8: Close this layer Open the copy of Background Highlight and open the duplicate layer Adjust/Add-Remove Noise/Add Noise Selections/Select None Layers/View/All
Step 9: Take Raster 1 - highlight Layers/Merge/Merge Down Close the middle layer Highlight the top layer Layers/Merge/Merge Visible You should have 2 layers now Take the top layer Edit/Copy Edit/Paste as a New Animation
Step 10: Close this layer and open the copy of Background Edit/Copy Edit/Paste After Current Frame (Animation) Right click on the image/View Animation If you don't like the speed: Edit/Select All Animation/Animation Properties, and change the number until you get the desired look File Save As
