Notes: This tut was done in PSP 10 but should work as well in other versions. Some knowledge of, and experience with, PSP is required. A trial version of PSP can be downloaded from here. You are welcome to use my images, or use your own If any filters are used, please note that if you don't already have them installed that you will have to close PSP, Install, then start PSP again.
Supplies: Fat Font Image - if needed PSP Animation
Preparation: Choose a font and minimize
If using an image - Edit/Copy Edit/Paste as a new Image
Pick 2 colors - make a gradient using those colors Open a transparent image 500 x 500 - size depends on the image that you are working on Open a transparent image 300 x 300 size depends on the image that you are working on
Step 1: Take your 500 x 500 transparent image Type in the text and/or image that you would like to use Crop the image to remove the excess space Take the selection tool, and select inside the letter or the part of the image that you would like to see glittered Selections/Modify/Contract/2 px Highlight the Vector 1 layer - middle layer- Layers/Merge/Merge Down Layers/Duplicate 3 times - should have 4 layers
Step 2: Highlight your raster 1 layer Flood fill with your gradient - using these settings Keeping this layer highlighted Edit/Copy Go to Animation Edit/Paste as a new Animation
Step 3: Highlight your raster 2 layer Flood fill with your gradient - using these settings Keeping this layer highlighted Edit/Copy Go to Animation Edit/Paste After Current Frame
Step 4: Highlight your Raster 3 layer Flood fill with your gradient - using these settings Keeping this layer highlighted Edit/Copy Go to Animation Edit/Paste After Current Frame
Step 5: Highlight your raster 4 layer Flood fill with your gradient - using these settings Keeping this layer highlighted Edit/Copy Go to Animation Edit/Paste After Current Frame Selections/Select None
Step 6: Animation/Re-size animation to 300 on the longest side or what looks good to you PSP Open you 300 x 300 transparent image Add Watermark/name Crop to get rid of the excess space Edit/Copy Animation Edit/Paste as a new Animation Animation/Re-Size Animation to 100 on the longest side - watermark
Step 7: Highlighting the animated image Edit/Select All Highlight the watermark image Edit/Copy Back to the animated image Edit/Paste Into Selected Frame Place where you would like to have the watermark/Name - click Have Onionskin and Propergate Paste clicked View/Animation
